Who are you?

Hey there, beautiful people! Zach here—a.k.a., “Zacharoni Pizza”—your friendly outsider analyst, delivering dispatches in the digital wasteland. Pleasure to meet you!

You’re tuning in to Radio Free Pizza, where I endeavor to excavate the deep trends that underlie our world’s everyday happenings. Thanks for joining me!

What’s this all about?

Radio Free Pizza offers an eclectic menu featuring complex coverage of diverse subjects across society, culture, politics, economics, history, philosophy, and media, treating them with nuanced analysis to unravel the deep connections between phenomena and to the potential sway of hidden variables in our uncertain world.

Here you’ll find thoughtful analysis that challenges the conventional orthodoxy, disrupts the status quo narrative, and questions the intents and motives of the powerful and the ideologies that guide them. When that gets too stressful, though, you can turn instead to the work of cartoonist Dave LaViolette—who gives us hand-illustrated reprieves from the artificially generated media with which Radio Free Pizza finds itself studded—or to the novels of Patrizio della Luna, or to any of the fine arts-and-entertainment offerings detailed below.

On occasion, some of our dispatches may feature a stand-in for your typical young American: a skeptical idealist named “Zaquerí Nioúel”—christened, let’s say, after the sock that once kept the stink off my gov’t name—who gained the ability (as an adverse event from a thought experiment) of transforming into the hot and fresh Pizza-Man, whenever I can find a narrative purpose for it or otherwise argue it serves one of my rhetorical aims.

Product of stable diffusion (“"Pizza-Man", an urban superhero themed around pizza, who delivers meals to the needy at super-speed, racing against the clock before public speech becomes so confused that no one can order pizza anymore”)

Each dispatch undertakes a deep analysis of contemporary phenomena: not just reporting on them, but delving into their historical context and tracing the connections between past events and today’s issues—one element of an interdisciplinary approach that I like to consider both trademark and makeshift. That attests (I hope!) to the considerable care taken to ensure every slice of Radio Free Pizza features critical reflection as one of its signature toppings.

Aiming to reach beyond geographic or cultural confines, we embrace a multipolar global perspective, because our dedication to thoughtful advocacy and radical critique demands that we avoid the simplistic narratives on offer from our establishment competitors. Instead, we here at Radio Free Pizza make a deliberate effort to dive into a topic’s complexities in order to arrive (along with our customers) at a more comprehensive understanding of a multifaceted subject.
